Does Avengers: Infinity War MCU movie have too many characters? Why or why not?

It has nearly every character we’ve seen so far, yet it gives each one time to shine and be a part of the story. All the while allowing Thanos to develop and have some character development. black canary costumes

It managed to do the very thing that JL tried and failed so hard to do. Balance a ton of characters and yet introduce a new and meaningful character.

Of course the whole reason it could manage that was because almost all of the characters were already established and developed in other movies.

I’ve seen a number of questions here about what Marvel movies to see before seeing Infinity War. Before seeing it I figured you could get away only seeing a few. Like say Avengers and Black Panther, maybe Guardians of the Galaxy.

But after having seen it, I say that if you really want to appreciate just how good it is, you have to watch all 18. You could maybe skip Iron Man 3… But other then that one, I think you need to have seen them all. thea queen cosplay

Because Infinity War broke the existing rules. The existing rule was you never assume that the audience seen the previous movies, unless it’s part of a trilogy or something. Like Star Wars or LotR, or even a longer anthology like the Harry Potter movies.

why did the Infinity Gauntlet get fried when Thanos snapped his fingers?

There is still not any exact possible explanation to this as the mad Titan was himself in shock after watching the Infinity Gauntlet getting fried.

However there are several theories which can explain why the Infinity Gauntlet was damaged after Thanos snapped his fingers: alice madness returns misstitched dress

1. The action of snapping his fingers wiped out half of the life of the universe which changed the reality on a massive scale requiring tremendous amount of energy and may be even the Infinity Gauntlet wasn’t a powerful vessel capable of holding this much energy so it got damaged. This may also means that the if the stones are used in combination once again the gauntlet may be permanently damaged.
2. May be the Gauntlet wasn’t damaged by wiping out half of the universe and may Thanos was supposed to be in those being that gets wiped out, in movie he did stated that it was random and anyone had chance of death regardless of who they were and this is when gauntlet was damaged when it turned its power on itself to preserve Thanos. In the movie we see that just after he snapped his finger he is inside the soul stone with Gamora this means maybe he was also dead for few seconds and was revived by the infinity gauntlet. black canary costumes
3. Eitri, the dwarven blacksmith who created the Gauntlet knew what it can do once it has all the infinity stones in it and he knew about Thanos’s evil plans so he intentionally did not made it capable of holding such power. injustice 2 joker costumes

Why was Vision so powerless in Infinity War even though he possessed an Infinity Stone?

He is not technically under-powered.

First you might be aware of one of Vision’s most important powers-Phasing. This is basically him being able to let anything go through him and vice versa. This helps him escape attacks from the enemy and almost never get hurt. Since he is an android he doesn’t lose much of stamina either (again because he never gets hurt)

So this happened at the beginning of the movie. When Vision and Wanda are attacked, one of the members of the Black Order named Corvus Glaive stabs him using a spear that he always carried.

That stab actually stopped him from phasing. It could be because of the power of the spear or because some part of the spear was left inside him. And since he couldn’t phase all the other subsequent attacks had an adverse reaction on him.

Add to that the attack on the stone on his forehead, falling down on a station from the sky whilst saving Wanda, getting his ass kicked and perhaps more importantly becoming weaker because all the stones were getting in close proximity(his body also reacted whenever someone came after him, or someone was tracking him).

But really it was falling in love that screwed Vision, guess even Android aren’t safe. :D

Why was everyone surprised at the Avengers: Infinity War ending if the exact same thing happened in the comics?

The short of it is that, statistically speaking, nobody read either The Thanos Quest or The Infinity Gauntlet.

To illustrate what I mean it’s time for a lesson about comic book sales.

The best-selling superhero comic book character of all time is Superman, with more than 600 million books sold to date. Batman, One Piece, and Spider-Man follow along behind him in the 300–500 million range. black canary costumes

That’s a bit of a misleading figure, however, as that represents books sold across their entire run as a title characters, not sales of the same book. That’s people buying book after book on basically a subscription model for decades. To get an idea how many individual readers comics actually have, you need to take into account single issues.

The best-selling single issue of a comic is X-Men No. 1, at about 8 million copies sold.

The remainder of the top 10 list tends to sit at between 0.5 to 5 million copies. The #10 is The Amazing Spider-Man No. 583, at only 530,000 copies. It should be noted that breaking half a million copies of a single issue sold is nothing short of completely miraculous in the comic book industry, as it makes an issue a contender for the ten very best-selling books ever. thea queen cosplay

The Thanos Quest and The Infinity Gauntlet, which are essentially the source material for the Infinity War movie, are not on that list at all. Meaning, less than half a million people, maybe even less than a hundred thousand people, actually read it. There’s a non-zero chance that there’s more people who’ve played Thanos in Fortnite than there are people who have seen any of the comics he’s ever been in.

The movies? Easily viewed by tens of millions worldwide. Infinity War can probably be safely estimated to break a hundred million viewers. Mind you, that doesn’t make the sales of the comics unimpressive in terms of their own medium, but the proportion of the movies’ audience who would’ve been familiar with this storyline from the comics is absolutely tiny.

So, even supposing the source material for this exists and could inform you of the intended direction of the story, not nearly enough people are familiar enough with it that filmgoing audiences, even MCU movie enthusiasts, could be expected to know what’s going to happen.
